A Winter Wonderland

Eleven inches of snow fell flake by flake into our yard last night. We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland. We tried and tried to get out of the drive, but alas, we are stuck. Since we are snowed in and I have nothing better to do, I decided to treck out into the snow for some pictures.

In a field I looked into going past,

And the ground almost covered smooth in snow,

But a few weeds and stubble showing last.

  1. Got to see snow fall while in D.C., but alas, it did not stick. Love snow and am envious of the beauty that you find surrounding you! The photos are gorgeous, I can smell the cold and the snow. Stay warm, enjoy your coffee, and your book. Happy New Year. DAF

  2. I woke up to 4-5 inches the day after Christmas. I did manage to escape back to Alabama before the next round. The kid in me still loves the snow, but the grown-up likes high temperatures above freezing.
